Compliance Forum Web site - "9 things you wished you had known earlier...(student data focus)"

Due to the success of our first Compliance Forum (held in August this year), we have organised a second one, with all new material! This time the focus is on student data. Although the Forum does not aim to be a comprehensive run down on all things related to student data, it will cover off on some key points. It's possible the Forum will be of relevance if any of the following questions raise some alarm bells!

Do you work with students and/or manage student data? Do you sometimes wonder whether you are managing your postgrad files properly, or wonder whether you can destroy them at some stage or not? Do you sometimes wonder about what the rules are in regards to collecting information from students, for say a small departmental database? What about Copyright and the use of examples of student work? Are you fully up to speed on all the things you need to be aware of from a compliance perspective, when preparing examination materials?

If you are unclear or would like to get some clarification on the answers to the questions above, then this forum may be of interest to you. We will have speakers present from Records Services, Copyright Office, Internal Audit and Legal Services.
